Ingredients to make Vegetable semia upma

  • City vegetables potato, carrot, green peas
  • Ginger, green chillies
  • cashew
  • Mustard, chana dal, urad dal for tempering
  • Danny to taste
  • Roasted semia
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves for garnish

How to make Vegetable semia upma

  1. Wash and cut the vegetables
  2. Cut ginger, green chillies and cashew into small pieces
  3. Cut the onions and keep it aside
  4. Now take a pan and add 2 tsp of oil
  5. Add mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal to it
  6. When mustard crackles and dals turn golden brown add onions and saute it till onions become transparent
  7. Now add green chillies and ginger and saute it for a minute
  8. Then add cashew to it
  9. Now add finely chopped curry leaves
  10. Saute it for a minute. Then add all the cut vegetables
  11. Add water and required amount of salt.
  12. Let it cook
  13. Once the vegetables become soft ads roasted semia to it
  14. Saute it. Let it cook completely
  15. Once it's cooked add finely chopped coriander leaves
  16. Mix well
  17. Vegetable semia upma is ready to eat
  18. Serve with pickle
  19. Or serve with coconut chutney
