Ingredients to make Upma idli

  • 1 cup prepared upma (I used previous days upma)
  • 1 cup thick yoghurt
  • 1 cup semolina
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • oil to grease the moulds

How to make Upma idli

  1. In a mixing bowl, add upma, semolina and yoghurt. Mix well.
  2. Add salt, baking soda and mix well.
  3. Add a cup of water and mix using a whisk. There should not be any lumps.
  4. Grease idli moulds and add batter into it, steam in the steamer until cooked.
  5. Demould and serve with chutney.

My Tip:

I used normal rawa upma. The batter consistency should not be very thick but like the idli batter but not very thin either.
