this is my is a combination of leftover Idli and some poha it is a wonderful combination which my mother used to make in my childhood days

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 leftover idli
  2. 1 cup poha
  3. 1 sliced onion
  4. 4 green chillies
  5. 2 tbsp oil
  6. two springs curry leaves
  7. one teaspoon mustard seeds
  8. one teaspoon urad dal
  9. one teaspoon jeera
  10. 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  11. salt to season
  12. 2 tablespoons chopped coriander


  1. crush the idlies and keep aside
  2. wash poha and keep aside
  3. heat oil in a saucepan
  4. add mustard seeds and let it splutter
  5. Add jeera and the dals
  6. add sliced onion green chillies and curry leaves stir fry for 2 minutes
  7. add asafoetida
  8. now and the poha And The crushed idli
  9. Sprinkle salt to season
  10. mix and cover leave it for 5 minutes
  11. garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot
