ABOUT Idli Upma RECIPE

This a even more yummy makeover of the healthy idlis for a perfect breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 tbsp Ghee
  2. 1/2 tsp Rai [mustard seeds]
  3. Pinch Hing [asafoetida]
  4. 4 to 6 washed Kaddipatta [curry leaves]
  5. 1 Green chili Finely Chopped
  6. 1 big onion chopped
  7. 1/2 tomato small finely chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Haldi [turmeric powder] 1/2 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  11. 1 tsp sugar
  12. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  13. 2 tsp coriander leaves
  14. 10 to 12 idlis crumbled with little water
  15. And little water according to consistency

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, add ghee then hing then Rai, when they splutter add Green chilli kadipatta and onion .
  2. Saute for few minutes. when onion turn pink add tomato and all dry spices or masala. then add sugar and mix well.
  3. Add lemon juice and when it starts leaving oil, add crumbled and mashed idli with water.. After one boil garnish with dhaniya [coriander] and serve immediately...
