ABOUT Veg Makhanwala pulao RECIPE

A buttery rice dish with sweetness of butter. Everyone will enjoy this , If you eat it once then you wants to eat it again and again.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Basmati Rice 2 cup soaked in water for 30 minutes
  2. Cloves 5
  3. Bay leaves 2
  4. Green cardamom 4
  5. Black cardamon 1
  6. Peppercorns 4
  7. Cinnamon 1 inch long
  8. Salt 1 tablespoon
  9. Oil 1 teaspoon
  10. For veggies:
  11. Carrots chopped 1 cup
  12. Green Peas 1 cup
  13. Potato 1 chopped
  14. Cauliflower chopped 1/2 cup
  15. Soya nuggets soaked 1/2 cup
  16. Bell peppers red, yellow, green mixed 1/2 cup
  17. Butter 4 tablespoons
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Green chilli 4 ( according to your taste)
  20. Jeera 1 tablespoon
  21. Garam masala 1 tablespoon
  22. For Tempering:
  23. Onion chopped 1 large
  24. Ginger chopped 2 inch long
  25. Garlic 6 pods chopped
  26. Tomato chopped 2 medium
  27. Coriander and mint leaves for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Pour water into a pan and add all dry masalas, Add salt and oil. When water starts boiling add rice. Cook it till it's done. Drain excess water and set aside.
  2. Remove all khada masala from rice.
  3. Now take another pan and add butter to it. Put all chopped vegetables to it and fry them in low flame with covered lid till they cooked. Stir occasionally.
  4. Now remove these veggies from pan and add butter for tempering.
  5. Add jeera, chopped onion, ginger, garlic and Green chilli. When onion becomes translucent add chopped tomatoes​. And roast it properly.
  6. Now add salt and garam masala, mix it properly. Add fried veggies to it. Mix well and cook for two minutes.
  7. Now add cooked rice to it and mix properly.
  8. Cook it with covered lid on low flame for 5 minutes.
  9. After this garnish it with coriander and mint leaves. Your veg makhnwala pulao is ready. Serve it with raita.
