  12. Grated cheese - 100 gms

Instructions

  1. Mix the yeast in warm water along with 1/2 tbsp of sugar and keep it aside to rise
  2. Take one cup of flour in a bowl and add salt to it. Give it a mix. Now add the yeast water to the flour and mix. Leave it covered with a cling wrap in a warm place for the flour to rise. It may take about an hour to rise.
  3. After an hour when the flour has risen add the sugar, the egg yolks and one egg and start kneading. Now add in the butter. At this point the dough will be very sticky.
  4. Now start adding the remaining flour and knead till it is not sticky. It will form into a soft dough.
  5. Keep it in the bowl covered with cling wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.
  6. Once the dough is ready after 2 hours remove and keep it in your work surface. Divide the dough into two half's. Keep one half covered with cling wrap so that it does not dry up.
  7. Now divide the first half portion into 8 parts and make it into a ball.
  8. Take a round bowl which is 8 inches by 3 inches in diameter and butter the pan. place one ball in the middle of the pan and the remaining 7 balls on the sides. Cover the bowl again with cling wrap and keep it for 2-3 hours or till the dough becomes double in size.
  9. Do the same for the other half of the dough.
  10. Brush the top with egg wash.
  11. Bake this at 180° C for about 25-30 minutes. You will get 2 sets of bun.
  12. Remove from oven once it is done. Let it cool completely.
  13. Once the bread has completely cooled down, spread the butter on top of the bun and sprinkle granulated sugar on top of it.
  14. Now you can add grated cheese on top. This process is optional.
