Palak Alu with Tomato

Ingredients to make Palak Alu with Tomato

  • 1/2 kg - palak/ spinach chopped
  • 1 large - potato cubed
  • 1 small- onion minced
  • 1/2 tsp- ginger garlic minced
  • 1 large- tomato chopped
  • 2- green chillies minced
  • 1 tsp- jeera sabut
  • 1/2 tsp - hing
  • 1/2 tsp- turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp- coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - mustard oil

How to make Palak Alu with Tomato

  1. Heat oil in wok
  2. Add jeera, hing and minced onion
  3. Saute till brownish in color
  4. Add the ginger garlic mined
  5. Saute for 5 minutes
  6. Add the potatoes and cook on slow flame
  7. Till semi cooked
  8. Now add the tomatoes
  9. Saute for 5 minutes
  10. Add the masalas
  11. Now add the palak..
  12. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes
  13. Adjust spices and salt
  14. Switch off the gas
  15. Serve hot with phulkas
