ABOUT Aate Ka Halwa RECIPE

Aate ka halwa is a popular sweet made made in North India. Aate ka halwa is easy to make. This halwa can be made for any festival or any day. It could be a celebration. This is a healthy halwa recipe and to make it more nutritious,you can add cashew nuts or raisins.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup atta (whole wheat flour)
  2. 1/2 cup ghee
  3. 1/2 cup sugar (as required)
  4. 1 cup milk or water (optional)
  5. 1 tbsp whole cashewnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai or pan. Add the whole wheat flour to the hot ghee in a kadhai or pan.
  2. Stir continuously till the colour changes of the flour and you get the aroma of roasted whole wheat flour.
  3. Keep on stirring to ensure even browning.
  4. Then add cashew nuts and keep stirring continuously.
  5. When atta turn golden and give good fragrance, add sugar and milk.
  6. Continue to stir so that no lumps are formed.
  7. The halwa will absorb milk and to thicken quickly.
  8. When it becomes thick, switch off the flame.
  9. Serve atte ka halwa hot and garnish with cashew nuts.
