Ingredients to make Dal Tadka
- For the dal:
- Moong dal - 1 cup
- onion - 1 (small)
- tomato - 2
- garlic cloves - 8
- coriander leaves - few
- turmeric powder - 1/4th tsp
- chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- For the Tadka:
- mustard seeds - 1/4th tsp
- cumin seeds - 1/4th tsp
- Red dry chilli - 2
- curry leaves - 2 sprigs
- onion - 1 (cut in fine slices)
- coriander leaves - for garnishing
- lemon juice - 1/4th lemon
How to make Dal Tadka
My Tip:
The Tadka should be added to the dal just before serving.
