Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Arvi Patte 12
  2. Chanadal 3 cups(soaked overnight)
  3. Garlic ginger paste 2 tbsp
  4. Red chili powder 1tsp or as taste
  5. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  6. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt as taste


  1. Wash arvi pattas.
  2. Make the thick paste of chana daal
  3. Add ginger garlic paste.
  4. Add salt and all spices .
  5. Mix well.
  6. Spread one arvi patta.
  7. Spread dal paste evenly on it.
  8. Keep another patta on it.
  9. Spread again dal paste.
  10. Repeat these process again 2 times.
  11. Roll it carefully.
  12. Wrap with stitching thread around it.
  13. So that they will not open.
  14. Make another roll like this.
  15. Heat water in a deep pan.
  16. Keep filtering tray on the boiling water.
  17. Put all rolls on it. And cover.
  18. Cook for 10 mnts in steam.
  19. After 10 min turns the roll.
  20. Again cook for 10 mins on steam.
  21. Cool them and cut in rounds.
  22. Shallow fry or serve as it is with chutney.
