Usually, kadhai makes from besan & curd but I make it from moong dal and tomato

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Socked split green gram 1 cup
  2. Tomato puree 2 cup
  3. Boondi 1 cup
  4. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  5. Fenugreek seeds powder 1/2tsp
  6. Dry red Chillies 2-3
  7. Asafoetida 1 pinch
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil 1tbsp

Instructions

  1. Grind soaked moong dal to make smooth paste
  2. Now take a pan put dal paste, tomato puree, fenugreek seeds powder, turmeric powder and salt. Add water and cook it on slow for approx 30 -45 Mins
  3. Keep stirring and when it cooked fully switch off the flame. Add Boondi the kadhai is ready.
  4. Temper with mustard seeds, red chilly, asafoetida and add to it.
  5. Serve hot for chapati or rice.
