ABOUT Dal Ka Shorba RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Moong Dal - 1 tbsp
  2. Sabut Urad Dal - 1 tbsp
  3. Masoor Dal - 1 tbsp
  4. Tomato - 1 (chopped)
  5. Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  6. Curry Leaves - 4-5
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Turmeric - A pinch
  9. Pudina Leaves - 4-5 (optional)
  10. Coriander leaves - few for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak all the 3 dals together for few hours. Wash them again properly and drain the water.
  2. In a cooker put 1/2 tsp of oil, add jeera, curry leaves, chopped tomato, salt, turmeric and washed dals.
  3. When the dal mixture is cooked properly churn it till the tomatoes are mashed properly and you get a liquid consistency. Add water if required.
  4. Adjust salt. Spoon the hot shorba in a bowl and garnish with pudina and/or coriander leaves before serving.
