Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 500 gms tomatoes
  2. A bunch of fresh coriander leaves (dhaniya)
  3. 3 garlic pods
  4. Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Steam the Tomotoes till the skin breaks, this takes 10 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel the tomatoes as the skin sometimes is irritating in the mouth. If you don't mind then leave the skin on. You can also de-seed the tomatoes.
  3. Chop and blend till the right consistency for you - smooth or chunky
  4. Add 1/2 a glass of water in a pan and boil with the heavy stalks of coriander at the bottom of the bunch
  5. Crush and add the garlic
  6. Boil till this thickens and releases the fragrance.
