ABOUT Potato Papad Roll RECIPE

This is the most easiest and tastiest starter which is perfect for any party or as a short time snack you can use leftover boiled potatoes,vegetable and paneer for stuffing. I am using potatoes and cheese stuffing. Papad roll is simply a delicious Indian appetizer served as a stuffed Papad. Serve Immediately.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 - Papad (crushed)
  2. 1 Glass - Water
  3. 1 Cup - Boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
  4. 1 Small Cup - Plain flour ( Maida )
  5. 2-3 - Cheese Cubes ( grated )
  6. 1-2 - Finely chopped green chilies (as per taste)
  7. Salt as per taste


  1. Combine the potatoes ,green chilies, salt and cheese in a bowl. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape like a roll (small cylinder shape).
  2. Dip each roll in the plain flour (maida) water mixture then roll in the crushed papad till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
  3. Heat oil in a deep non-stick kadhai / pan and deep fry a few rolls at a time on a low flame till they are golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
