Lau papad

Ingredients to make Lau papad

  • lauki 1/2 kg
  • potatoes- 2 medium size
  • 4 sheet of masala papad - 2 papad to deep fry and 2 papad to leave uncooked
  • salt
  • turmeric 1/2 tspn
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • ginger paste 1/2 tspn
  • Green chilli 2-3 slit
  • oil
  • water

How to make Lau papad

  1. Chop the lauki and potato in small square shape and pressure cook with 1 whistle. Open the cooker immediately.
  2. In a pan add oil. Now add ginger paste, lauki, potato, roughly crushed fried papad, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and stir properly.
  3. Add half cup water and crushed uncooked papad and stir.
  4. Cover the pan for 3 to 4 mnts
  5. Add the slit green chilli and remove from pan
