ABOUT Nutritious Podi RECIPE

This dry powder chutney from Andhra Pradesh is packed with carbohydrates, fiber, calcium, vitamins A,B,C&E, Garlic & curry leaves help in better heart functioning. It helps in hair growth too.This podi (powder) is eaten with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Flax seeds - 2 tbsp
  2. Groundnuts​ - 2 tbsp
  3. Chana dal - 2 tbsp
  4. Sesame seeds - 1tbsp
  5. Curry leaves - 30
  6. Cumin seeds - 1tsp
  7. Red chilies - 5
  8. Garlic - 5
  9. Tamarind - Very small piece
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil - 2 drops

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the curry leaves, red chilies, garlic, cumin seeds and tamarind separately​.
  2. Now roast the rest of the ingredients except salt in 2drops of oil separately.
  3. Allow all roasted ingredients to cool.
  4. Grind the cool ingredients along with salt into a fine powder.
