ABOUT Sago Upma RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Cup - Soaked sabudana
  2. 1 - Potato
  3. 1/4 - Cabagge
  4. 1/2 - Capsicum
  5. 1 - Onion
  6. 1 - Tomato
  7. 2 - Green chilies
  8. 2 tbsp - Chopped coriander leaves
  9. 2 tbs - Peanuts
  10. 8-10 - Curry leaves
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds
  13. 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
  14. 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  15. 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  16. 1/2 tsp - Garam masala
  17. 3 tbs - Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak sabudana for 2-3 hours.
  2. Chop all the veggies you want to add into small pieces.
  3. Shallow fry peanuts and potatoes and take them out in a bowl.
  4. In a nonstick pan heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. When the seeds crackle add onions, capsicum and cabbage, stir fry and add the soaked sabudana.
  5. Add fried potatoes, peanuts and all the spices.
  6. Cover with lid and cook for 5 mins on low flame. Turn off the flame and add sugar and lemon juice.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
