One of the traditional curries of kerala. Easy and delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripe mangoes - 2
  2. Yogurt/curd - 1 Cup
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. Salt - To taste
  5. For grinding : Grated coconut - 1/2 Cup
  6. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  7. Green chilies - 2-3
  8. For seasoning : Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
  9. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  10. Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  11. Red chilies - 2
  12. Curry leaves - 8

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut mangoes into medium size pieces.
  2. Grind coconut, Cumin seeds and green chilies with little yogurt.
  3. Cook mango pieces along with turmeric and salt.
  4. Lower the flame and add ground paste. Cook for 4min. Now add whipped yogurt and boil for a few min.Check the salt.
  5. Heat the pan along with coconut oil and add mustard seeds,when it splutters add fenugreek seeds,red chilies and curry leaves.
  6. Pour this seasoning over the pulissery. Serve with rice.
