Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Half cup of moog dal
  2. Half cup of rice
  3. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Curry leaves 10
  6. Red chilli (1)
  7. Methi seeds 1/2 tsp
  8. One large onion
  9. Garlic (3-4)
  10. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. salt as per taste
  12. some coriander leaves
  13. Oil 1 tablespoon
  14. Water as Required


  1. Soak the rice and dal in a pot .
  2. Meanwhile keep ready all the above ingredients .
  3. In a heavy bottom vessel one tablespoon of oil . Add all the ingredients with onion .
  4. Saute till the smell starts coming then add the soaked rice and dal add salt as per taste.
  5. Add water as per the quantity .
