Restaurant Style Hakka Noodles

Ingredients to make Restaurant Style Hakka Noodles

  • 2 cups or 200 gm plain /wheat Hakka noodles
  • 4 spring onions sliced crosswise green and white part seperate
  • 4 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/2 inch ginger peeled and minced
  • 1/4 cup french beans cut length wise
  • 1/2 cup green capsicum cut length wisr
  • 1/2 shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Julienne carrort
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce Red/Green
  • 1 tbsp olive oil / Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil /sesame oil more
  • salt to taste

How to make Restaurant Style Hakka Noodles

  1. Boil the noodles as per instructions given on pack .But semi cook it.
  2. Cut the veggies as thin and length wise as mentioned above. it takes less time to cook
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok or iron pan..Add ginger and garlic minced..Stir fry it for 30-40 seconds
  4. Add french beans and saute it fir 2-3 minutes..Add spring onion white part, capsicum , cabbage and Stir fry it.
  5. We want veggies crunchy in bite not soggy so Stir fry it 2-3 minutes
  6. Add soya sauce, green/Red Chilli sauce, ketchup, black pepper powder and salt mix well. adjut seasoning. cook it another 1 minute.
  7. Add boiled noodles
  8. Mix well..Toss noodles until all veggies and sauces coated with noodles. cook it another 2 minutes. switch off the flame.. Plate it. serve hot Hakka noodles with sweet n sour soup or dry manchurian..

My Tip:

To make non sticky noodles do not overcook it. add cold water after boiling to keep out extra starch.
