ABOUT "BHARVA BHINDI" RECIPE

Bhindi or lady's fingers or also known as okhras, are filled dry masalas and the then cooked in a gravy. An absolutely delicious dish to be served with some rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 kg bhindi,
  2. 2 Onion's,
  3. 6 cloves of garlic,
  4. oil
  5. Handful of coriander leave's
  6. FOR STUFFING:
  7. Salt as per taste,
  8. 1 tsp haldi, [turmeric powder]
  9. 11/2 tsp red chilly powder
  10. 1 tsp amchur powder
  11. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  12. 1 tsp gram masala powder

Instructions

  1. Wash bhindi and keep on a kitchen towel, and pat them dry.
  2. Cut the upper and lower part of bhindi and slit them a bit.
  3. Now in mixing bowl mix all the dry ingredients nicely.
  4. Take the bhindi and stuff the masala in the bhindis
  5. Slice the onions and crush the garlic cloves
  6. In pan put oil add garlic and saute till it changes color.
  7. Add Onion's and saute, now add bhindi , cook till soft , it changes color or leaves oil
  8. It's done.
