ABOUT Crispy palak Mathri RECIPE

Crispy palak Mathari or spinach Mathri is a great snack which is made by mixing wheat flour, chopped spinach, kasoori methi, green chili and ginger paste. It is a delicious recipe of palak mathri which has different flavors. Hope you like it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 1/4 cups- wheat flour
  2. 11/4 cup- finely chopped washed and drained spinach
  3. 1 tsp- green chili paste
  4. 1 tsp- ginger paste
  5. 1 tsp- salt
  6. 1 tsp- kasoori methi
  7. 2 tsbp- oil
  8. Oil to fry Mathri
  9. Around 2 & 1/2 tbsps of water

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl or plate or parath for kneading dough . Add wheat flour , salt green chili and ginger paste and mix well . Add finely chopped spinach and Kasoori Methi and mix well . Add oil and mix well and try to knead the dough .
  2. Add water slowly to knead into a firm dough . We need firm dough for Spinach pooris so don't need to add more water.(Because Spinach has also some water). Grease your palm and then knead again for few seconds.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for frying.Now divide the dough into equal parts Roll them and make ball shape and press slightly.Then roll it as like normal puri . Don't roll too thin. Roll all the Mathris.
  4. Size and shape of mathri depend on your choice. Now oil is hot Drop the Mathris in the oil for frying . Fry on medium gas until it become brown in color and crispy . Crispy palak Mathri is ready to serve .
  5. Enjoy Palak Mathri with Green chutney or Pickle with tea.
