Ingredients to make dum ka paneer

  • cottage cheese 300 hms
  • refined oil 25 ml
  • ghee /butter 25 ml
  • fried onions 2 tblspn
  • fried garlic paste 1 tspn
  • onion seed paste 1 tblspn
  • tomato ketchup/chopped tomatoes 2 tblspn
  • cashew paste 1 tblspn
  • Hung curd 150 gms
  • saffron 1/4 tspn
  • kewra water 1 tspn
  • rose water 1 tspn
  • chiily powder 1 tspn
  • turmeric powder 1 tspn
  • coriander powder 4 tspn
  • Garam masala powder 2 tspn
  • whole garam masala, star anis
  • green chillies 4

How to make dum ka paneer

  1. mix oil,garlic,onion, onionseed paste,cashew paste,curd,saffron,rose and kewra water,chilly powderr,turmeric,coriander powder, garam masala powder,ketchup, salt,sugar together
  2. marinate the cottage cheese in this mixture for 35 min
  3. transfer this marinated cottage cheese into microwave safe bowl, sprinkle the ghee over the top and put whole garam masala,bay leave, star anise into ghee,so that the aroma of these ingredients would get infused in the curry
  4. keep the lid and cook for 15 min in high power.
  5. garnish with green chilly and serve with roti,naan,

My Tip:

can soak the paneer in salt and sweet mix warm water it will help the paneer soft and succulent.
