ABOUT Sooji (Rava) Ladoo RECIPE

Coconut and Milk added to Sooji enhances the taste of Sooji Laddoo. Hence it tastes moist and Delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup - sooji (rava):
  2. 1/3 cup - coconut freshly grated
  3. 3/4 Cup - sugar
  4. 2 tbsp - almond & raisin finely chopped
  5. 3 tbsp - hot milk for binding
  6. 4 tbsp - ghee
  7. 1 tsp - cardamom powder


  1. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a kadai, add almonds & raisins and sauté for a minute. Keep aside.
  2. Heat remaining ghee, add sooji & fry on low to medium flame for 10-12 mins or till you get a nice aroma and also the color changes.
  3. Add the pre sauted dry fruits, sugar & elaichi (cardomom) powder, mix well. Turn off the flame.
  4. Add hot milk 1 tbsp at a time and mix. Mixture should be moist enough for binding Ladoo.
  5. Remove in a plate and while mixture is warm bind golf size Ladoo's.
