Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 + 1 litre milk
  2. 1 cup + 4 teaspoon sugar,
  3. 4 saffron threads soaked in warm milk
  4. 1 lemon juice


  1. Keep half milk to boil when it starts boiling add lemon juice and stir it till the whey is separated from paneer. Sieve the paneer and wash in water. Hang in a muslin cloth.
  2. In other pan keep milk to boil and let it simmer.
  3. Now take paneer in plate and mash it nicely with your palms and make small balls.
  4. In pan add 1 cup sugar and 3 cups water, let it boil, stir in between.
  5. When sugar dissolves add paneer ball's and let it cook on slow flame for 10 minutes covered.
  6. When milk is reduced to half, add sugar, saffron milk and stir.
  7. Remove rasgulla from gas and keep to cool. When cooked gently remove, press out the excess syrup and put in milk.
  8. Let it cook for 5 minutes and its done.
  9. Serve hot or chilled.
