ABOUT Sago Payasam RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 500 millilitre
  2. sugar 200 grams
  3. sago 100 grams
  4. Vermicelli 50 grams
  5. ghee 100 millilitre
  6. cashews 10
  7. raisins 20
  8. elaichi powder 2 teaspoon
  9. saffron a pinch

Instructions

  1. Fry vermicelli in ghee till light brown. Keep aside.
  2. Fry cashews and raisins. Keep aside.
  3. Fry sago in ghee, till it pops well.
  4. Add water, cook sago till transparent.
  5. Add fried vermicelli to it and cook till soft.
  6. Add sugar.
  7. Add milk.
  8. Add cardamom powder too. Mix well.
  9. Finally add the cashews, raisins and garnish with saffron too.
  10. Hot yummy Payasam is ready.
