Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Milk 1 litre
  2. Curd 1 small bowl
  3. Ghee 4 teaspoon
  4. Whole wheat (gehun) powdered 4 tablespoon
  5. Sugar 300 grams
  6. Edible gum( gaund) 2 tablespoon
  7. Cardamom (elaichi) 5-6
  8. Nutmeg( jaiphal) 1/2
  9. Mace ( javitri) 2
  10. Saffron ( kesar) 20 strands
  11. Almond for garnish


  1. Take cardamom, nutmeg, mace, saffron in mixture and make all spicemix.
  2. Heat the pan and saute edible gum till it becomes white. Then crush it and make powder. Keep aside.
  3. Heat the ghee in pan add wheat powder and saute it till it turns pink and keep aside.
  4. In deep sauce pan ( or patila) heat milk to boil and add curd and allow the milk to curdle.
  5. Now add edible gum and keep stirring continuously.
  6. When it dissolves, add wheat powder and half of sugar while stirring occasionally.
  7. When it becomes brown and thick add rest half sugar and stir occasionally.
  8. Add all spicemix and mix well stirring occasionally.
  9. When it leaves the side of pan it is ready.
  10. Cool down completely.
  11. Make balls of these and give shape of patties.
  12. Garnish with almonds.
