Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Poppy seeds- 1 cup
  2. Sugar- 1/2 cup or adjust according to your taste
  3. Milk-2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder-1/4 teaspoon
  5. Fresh cream-1 tablespoon
  6. Ghee-3 tablespoon
  7. Almonds-1 handfull chopped
  8. Cashewnuts - 1 handfull chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak the poppy seeds overnight.
  2. Now drain the poppy seeds and grind with very little milk to a thick paste.
  3. Heat ghee in a wok.
  4. Add poppy seeds paste and saute for about 20 to 25 minutes or till it turns brown in colour on slow flame.
  5. Now add fresh cream and saute for another 5 minutes.
  6. Now add milk and cook till it begins to thicken,
  7. Now add cardamom powder and sugar.
  8. Now cook on slow flame till ghee is separated.
  9. Add chopped nuts.
  10. Switch off the flame and serve hot.
