  • water as needed
  • 1 tbn oil
  • 1 large onion chopped fine
  • 1.5 tsn turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsn red chilli powder
  • salt to taste

  1. Soak poppy seeds in a cup of water for an hour before cooking
  2. Using the water used to soak them, blend into a paste
  3. Heat oil in a wok/pan and sauté the onions on medium heat until brown
  4. Add the poppy seed paste and mix

  6. Mix the spices well and cook covered till the gravy thickens
