Rai Wali Chicken

Ingredients to make Rai Wali Chicken

  • chicken 500 grams
  • oil 5 to 6 tablespoon
  • Rai 2 teaspoon
  • Zeera 1 teaspoon
  • Curry patta 2 tablespoon
  • egg 1
  • Ingredients for first marination:
  • Hung curd 250 gram
  • Tandoori masala 2 tablespoon
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  • red chilly powder 1 tablespoon
  • coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • Roasted jeera powder 2 teaspoon
  • Red colour
  • Ingredients for second marination:
  • Hung curd 500 grams
  • Tandoori masala 1 Ingredients for first marination:
  • ginger garlic paste 2 to 3 teaspoon
  • red chilly powder 2 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  • Zeera powder 3 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • Red colour (optional)

How to make Rai Wali Chicken

  1. Step 1.... Take chicken pieces. Add all the ingredients of 1st marination.
  2. Mix everything well and marinate it for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Now take an egg and whisk it.
  4. Take marinated chicken pieces and dip in egg and deep fry it.
  5. Fry chicken for 2 to 3 minutes. Don't get it cooked too much.
  6. Step 2...
  7. Now take the ingredients of 2nd marination and add fried chicken pieces and also add left over mixture of 1st marination.
  8. Again marinate the fried chicken for about 3 to 4 hours. You can also marinate overnight.
  9. After that take a pot add oil. Add rai let it splutter add jeera and curry patta.
  10. Now add marinated chicken. Cook it on high flame for 5 minutes.
  11. Arrange all the chicken pieces well. Don't put it one above the other. Arrange each chicken pieces separately in the pot. Don't cook it like you cook other chicken dishes.
  12. Now slow down the flame, let chicken cook on slow flame.
  13. Meanwhile keep turning chicken pieces. This will take about an hour of whole cooking process.
  14. After gravy gets thickened and chicken gets boiled it means rai wali chicken is cooked now.
  15. Serve it with bread.
