Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. chicken 500 grams
  2. oil 5 to 6 tablespoon
  3. Rai 2 teaspoon
  4. Zeera 1 teaspoon
  5. Curry patta 2 tablespoon
  6. egg 1
  7. Ingredients for first marination:
  8. Hung curd 250 gram
  9. Tandoori masala 2 tablespoon
  10. ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  11. red chilly powder 1 tablespoon
  12. coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  13. salt to taste
  14. Roasted jeera powder 2 teaspoon
  15. Red colour
  16. Ingredients for second marination:
  17. Hung curd 500 grams
  18. Tandoori masala 1 Ingredients for first marination:
  19. ginger garlic paste 2 to 3 teaspoon
  20. red chilly powder 2 teaspoon
  21. coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  22. Zeera powder 3 teaspoon
  23. salt to taste
  24. Red colour (optional)


  1. Step 1.... Take chicken pieces. Add all the ingredients of 1st marination.
  2. Mix everything well and marinate it for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Now take an egg and whisk it.
  4. Take marinated chicken pieces and dip in egg and deep fry it.
  5. Fry chicken for 2 to 3 minutes. Don't get it cooked too much.
  6. Step 2...
  7. Now take the ingredients of 2nd marination and add fried chicken pieces and also add left over mixture of 1st marination.
  8. Again marinate the fried chicken for about 3 to 4 hours. You can also marinate overnight.
  9. After that take a pot add oil. Add rai let it splutter add jeera and curry patta.
  10. Now add marinated chicken. Cook it on high flame for 5 minutes.
  11. Arrange all the chicken pieces well. Don't put it one above the other. Arrange each chicken pieces separately in the pot. Don't cook it like you cook other chicken dishes.
  12. Now slow down the flame, let chicken cook on slow flame.
  13. Meanwhile keep turning chicken pieces. This will take about an hour of whole cooking process.
  14. After gravy gets thickened and chicken gets boiled it means rai wali chicken is cooked now.
  15. Serve it with bread.
