Corn Usal

Ingredients to make Corn Usal

  • corn 1 bowl (Sweet corn will also do)
  • Cooking oil
  • jeera and Rai
  • ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 green chillies
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • chilli powder and salt aa per taste
  • Cup of water
  • coriander for garnishing

How to make Corn Usal

  1. Wash clean the corn and mince them partially with mincing blade. keep aside.
  2. Take a pan/ kadhai, pour the cooking oil. Once heated add Jeera and Rai / mauri to it
  3. Now add onions , green chillies, ginger garlic paste and curry leaves one by one
  4. Now add the tomatoes and close pan with lid.let it cook for 1 min
  5. After that add turmeric powder and salt. Chili powder if you want little bit spicy
  6. Add the minced corn and mix all the ingredients nicely. Let this cook for 1 or 2 mins. Then add water to it. Close the pan with lid again
  7. Check if the corn is cooked and ready to serve. Different varieties of the corn will take different time to get cooked.
  8. Serve hot this recipe. This can be also eaten with chapati as a curry.

My Tip:

Add some grated cheese while serving to make it more delicious. Also you can eat this with chapati as a curry.
