ABOUT Vrat wali Pakodi RECIPE

This type of delicious pakodis are made especially for the fasting, during festivities, made with water chestnut aata and potatoes, a perfect snack for the hunger times.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Singhade ka aata [water chestnut flour] 3cup
  2. potatoes - 4 [chopped]
  3. Green chillis [chopped] 2-3
  4. Sendha namak (rock salt)
  5. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  6. Butter milk - 1/2 cup
  7. Water to use
  8. Refined oil
  9. black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix the water chestnut flour along with the buttermilk to form a smooth batter.
  2. Mix green chilli, potatoes, black pepper powder,rock salt,cumin seeds to the batter. rest it for 15-20 min, heat some oil in a wok.
  3. Now drop the pakodis out of the batter into the hot oil, cook on a medium flame until crispy. Serve hot with some chutney.
