ABOUT Black chana masala RECIPE

A very easy, spicy and quick recipe for everyday cooking and lunches, that can be served with some puri or parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soaked black chana 2bowl
  2. 2onion chopped
  3. Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  4. Coriander powder 1teaspoon
  5. Garam masala powder 1teaspoon
  6. Turmeric Powder
  7. Salt
  8. Cumin seeds ½ teaspoon
  9. Chole masala 1teaspoon
  10. Water ½ bowl
  11. oil


  1. Heat a cooker pan with some oil, add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  2. Add the chopped onions and saute until transparent.
  3. Add all masala and garlic paste, saute for 4- 5 minutes
  4. Add soaked black chana and saute further.
  5. Add salt and water
  6. Cover lid and cook till 2-3 whistles on high flame and then cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  7. Now serve them with some coriander leaves on top.
