Aloo papdi chaat

Ingredients to make Aloo papdi chaat

  • 1 packet papdi
  • 300 gm curd(whisk till smooth)
  • 1 large potatoes boiled ,peeled and chopped in small pieces.
  • 2 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1 medium onion(finely chopped)
  • 1 medium tomatoes(finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 cup coriander chutney
  • 1 cup tamarind dates chutney
  • 1 cup pomogranate seed
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chill powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 cup nylon sev
  • For Green Chutney:
  • 1 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Groundnut
  • 2-3 tsp lemon Juice
  • 4 green chillis
  • cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • For sweet chutney:
  • 1/2 cup seedless dates
  • 1/2 cup tamarind
  • 2 cup jaggery
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp coriander leaves powder
  • red chilli powder
  • 2 cup water or add as required.

How to make Aloo papdi chaat

  1. To cook chickpeas.:- You need to soak chickpeas in the enough water over night or for good 6-7 hours.then cook or pressure cook the chickpeas with water and salt till it is completely cooked.
  2. Making green chutney: blend all ingredients with very little water to smooth paste and keep a side.
  3. Making sweet chutney: Boil the tamarind and dates in water. When they become soft add the jaggery and the spices powders and pinch of salt.cook further till jaggery melts.switch off the stove and let the mixture cool.grind the chutney mixture to a smooth paste.seive the chutney through a strainer.if chutney become too thick add some water to liquidize it.
  4. Preparation for aloo papdi chaat
  5. Arrange the papdis in bowl or in chaat plates.
  6. Top it with chopped boiled potatoes and cooked chickpeas.
  7. Add chopped onions ,tomatoes on it.and also add pomogranate seeds (pomogranate seeds are optional)
  8. Sprinkle chaat masala,red chilli powder on it.
  9. Top this with cold whisked curd as much as you want.
  10. After curd top it up with green chutney and sweet chutney as much as u want.
  11. Sprinkle some chaat masala,red chilli powder.
  12. Lastly Garnishing with coriander leaves and sprinkle nylon sev on top.
  13. Serve aloo papadi chaat immediately.
