ABOUT Arabic Garlic Dipping Sauce.. RECIPE

Vegan,garlicky,creamy and flavourful.This is the perfect introduction to this Lebanese dipping sauce that is so popular worldwide. It is a must have with almost all kinds of arabic kebabs, shawarmas and broasted chicken. This is a very popular dip in the Middle East and is a much sought after one. It can be made well in advance and stays fresh upto a month in the refrigerator. This can be used in any kind of sandwiches or wraps to give them a distinct garlicky touch.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Garlic cloves 1 cup
  2. Canola oil or corn oil 3 cups
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice 1/4 th cup

Instructions

  1. Put the garlic cloves and salt in a food processor and puree until soft.
  2. Scrape the sides of the processor from time to time to ensure that all of it is used properly.
  3. Begin adding oil to it slowly from the lid followed by a tablespoon of lemon juice.
  4. Keep alternating between oil and lemon juice until both gets finished off.
  5. Alternating between oil and lemon juice creates an emulsification effect and helps in getting a thick and a fluffy sauce.
  6. The whole process takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Store in an airtight container in a refrigerator and relish upto a month.
