Traditional american vegetable au gratin baked and served in individual bowls.Easy to make and serve.A hit at any kind of parties.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For vegetables
  2. 1 carrot peeled and finely chopped
  3. 1/4 cup sweet corn kernels,boiled
  4. 1/8 cup green peas,boiled
  5. 10 to 12 french beans stringed and chopped
  6. 1/4 cup boiled macaroni
  7. For White Sauce
  8. 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  9. 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  10. 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  11. 1 1/4 cup milk boiled and cooled
  12. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  13. 1/4 tsp dry mixed herbs
  14. 1/2 tsp sugar
  15. Salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Firstly boil all the vegetables and set aside.Boil the macaroni separetely.
  2. Now add butter in a pan and add garlic in to it.Saute till raw smell goes away.
  3. Now add all purpose flour whisking very well so as to avoid any lumps.
  4. Saute the flour till light and fragnant.Do not brown the flour.
  5. Next add milk little by little stirring continuosly so as to avoid formation of any lumps.
  6. Once the sauce starts to thicken add salt,pepper,dried herbs, sugar and mix very well.
  7. Vegetable gratin is ready.Now take it out in an individual serving bowls and cover it completely with grated cheese.
  8. Bake in a pre heated oven for around 15 minutes till the cheese is browned.
  9. Serve it along with garlic bread or any bread of your choice.
