Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For cone :
  2. Maida-1cup
  3. Oil- 2 tbsp
  4. Sugar powder-1/2cup
  5. Water or milk for make dough-
  6. For sugar syrup-
  7. Sugar- 1 cup
  8. Water- 1/2 cup
  9. For bitter gourd kalakand :
  10. Milk- 1 cup
  11. Sugar - 1 cup
  12. Paneer grated- 1/2 cup
  13. Ilaichi [cardamom] powder-1 tsp
  14. Chopped dry fruits [akmonds, raisins and pistachios] - 1 tbsp
  15. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  16. Bitter gourd - 3
  17. Suger-1/2 cup more while boiling the karela
  18. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  19. For plating :
  20. Whipped cream-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. For dough : Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix it and to make a soft dough using required amount of water or milk. Roll it to forma big roundel and cut out small rounds using a cookie cutter or a small bowl.
  2. Now make little cones using aluminium foil and roll the small roundels around them to form the cones.
  3. Bake them in a preheated otg/oven at 180° celsius for 20 minutes.
  4. For the sugar syrup : Take a bowl and add sugar, water and heat it to boil it.
  5. Once the syrup is thickened enough to form one string syrup, switch off the flame.
  6. For bitter gourd kalakand : Firstly peel the bitter gourds , cut them into halves and deseed them.
  7. Spread some salt to the bitter gourd, leave it for some time.
  8. After half an hour, wash the bitter gourds with cold water.
  9. Now take a pan, add some water and one cup of sugar, boil it.
  10. Now add bitter gourd in sugar water, boil it for 10 to 15min . After 15min, take out bitter gourds from the water.
  11. Now grind 1 tbsp of milk, pista mix and the bitter gourd.
  12. Heat some ghee in a pan, add the ground bitter gourd and cook for sometime with continuous stirring.
  13. Now take a another pan, add milk . Boil it till then it reduces to half the quantity, then add the sugar and paneer to it.
  14. Mix it again, and then add the bitter gourd mixture. Now fill the cones with this mixture and garnish with some chopped dry fruits and serve.
