Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For kofte- 250 gram pumpkin
  2. 2 tabs besan
  3. Salt 1/2tsp
  4. Haldi 1 pinch [turmeric powder]
  5. 1/tsp ajwayan [carom seeds]
  6. 1 tsp chopped hari mirch [green chilly]
  7. 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
  8. 1 tsp mava
  9. 1/2tsp lal mirch [red chilly powder]
  10. 1/2tsp chaat masala
  11. 1/2roasted jira powder [cumin powder]
  12. For gravy-
  13. 2 tomato chopped
  14. 1 tabs tomato puree
  15. 2 onion
  16. 2tsp ginger garlic paste
  17. 2 tsp fresh cream
  18. Salt 1/2 tsp
  19. 1/2tsp red chilli powder
  20. 1/2tsp haldi powder [turmeric powder]
  21. 1 tsp chat masala

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the pumpkin.
  2. Peel and grate them.
  3. Squeeze the grated pumpkin to drain the excess water.
  4. Now in a bowl, add the grated pumpkin, besan, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, chaat masala, 1 pinch of turmeric powder, red chilly powder, mava. Add some water and make a thick batter.
  5. Now make koftes out of the batter.
  6. Deep fry the koftes in hot oil on a medium flame.
  7. They should look like this.
  8. Heat some ghee on a pan, add the cumin seeds. Once they crackle, add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes. Then add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown. Then add the tomato paste and the powdered masalas. Cook for few minutes and then add water for the gravy. Once it starts boiling, then add the fried koftes.
  9. Garnish with fresh cream and Serv hot .enjoy with chapaati.
