Ingredients to make Creamy kashi kofta kari (kreamy pumpkin kofta kari)

  • For kofte- 250 gram pumpkin
  • 2 tabs besan
  • salt 1/2tsp
  • Haldi 1 pinch [turmeric powder]
  • 1/tsp ajwayan [carom seeds]
  • 1 tsp chopped hari mirch [green chilly]
  • 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp mava
  • 1/2tsp lal mirch [red chilly powder]
  • 1/2tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2roasted jira powder [cumin powder]
  • For gravy-
  • 2 tomato chopped
  • 1 tabs tomato puree
  • 2 onion
  • 2tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp fresh cream
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2tsp haldi powder [turmeric powder]
  • 1 tsp chat masala

How to make Creamy kashi kofta kari (kreamy pumpkin kofta kari)

  1. Wash and clean the pumpkin.
  2. Peel and grate them.
  3. Squeeze the grated pumpkin to drain the excess water.
  4. Now in a bowl, add the grated pumpkin, besan, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, chaat masala, 1 pinch of turmeric powder, red chilly powder, mava. Add some water and make a thick batter.
  5. Now make koftes out of the batter.
  6. Deep fry the koftes in hot oil on a medium flame.
  7. They should look like this.
  8. Heat some ghee on a pan, add the cumin seeds. Once they crackle, add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes. Then add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown. Then add the tomato paste and the powdered masalas. Cook for few minutes and then add water for the gravy. Once it starts boiling, then add the fried koftes.
  9. Garnish with fresh cream and Serv hot .enjoy with chapaati.
