Ingredients to make Pumpkin Dinner Rolls

  • flour 2 1/2 cup
  • pumpkin puree 1/2 cup
  • yeast 1 teaspoon
  • Lukewarm water 1/4 cup
  • Lukewarm Milk 1/4 cup
  • Milk powder 1 tablespoon
  • oil 1 tablespoon
  • butter 1 tablespoon
  • sugar 3 tablespoon
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • salt 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Pumpkin Dinner Rolls

  1. Sift flour ,salt and milk powder and keep aside
  2. Mix yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in lukewarm water and allow it to froth.
  3. In a bowl take the flour add yeast and pumpkin puree ,3 table spoon sugar and milk.
  4. Mix together,the dough will be sticky.
  5. Add butter and oil and knead for 7 to 8 minutes till you get soft smooth spongy dough.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with foil and foil and allow it to double.
  7. Once the dough has doubled knock down and knead for 3 minutes.
  8. Apply little oil and divide the dough into small balls.
  9. Shape into balls and flatten it a bit with your palm.
  10. With a knife make 8 cuts leaving the centre uncut
  11. Place the shaped buns on a baking tray lined with parchment or butter paper
  12. Cover with a damp cloth and allow it to double.
  13. It will take about 20 minutes towards last 10 minutes preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius for 10 minutes.
  14. Apply milk wash and place the tray in the oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  15. Once its baked remove it out and immediately brush the buns with melted butter.
  16. Enjoy with cofeee or tea or with some butter and cheese.

My Tip:

Make your own pumpkin puree.Take about 1/2 kg pumpkin clean it cut and pressure cook for 12 minutes then drain and blend
