A popular Indian dish! This potato curry recipe is so easy and is filled with flavours from different spices!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 large Potato (aloo) boiled
  2. 2-3 Green chilies
  3. 1 Green cardamom
  4. 1 Black cardamom
  5. 4-5 Cloves
  6. 1
  7. 1/2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  8. 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  9. 3/4 tsp Amchur powder
  10. 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp Black pepper corns
  12. 1/2'' Cinnamon stick
  13. 1 tbsp Oil
  14. 1 Dry red chilies
  15. 1 Bay leaf
  16. A pinch of Asaofoetida
  17. Boiled peas(optional)
  18. 1/4 cup Coriander leaves chopped
  19. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Grind cloves,black and green cardamom, coriander seeds,cumin seeds,black peppercorns and cinnamon.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel, add some cumin seeds,red chillies,bay leaf and asafoetida and saute for few minutes.
  3. Add the masala and cook for another minute.
  4. Add crushed potatoes and 3 cups of water. Bring it to a boil at low flame for 20 mins. Cover with the lid.
  5. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  6. Serve hot with kachori or puri.
