Ingredients to make Garlic mushroom in cheese sauce

  • For white sauce:
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp or 25 gms butter
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 gms grated cheddar cheese
  • PINCH OF nutmeg POWDER
  • salt to taste
  • for garlic mushroom:
  • 200 gms button mushroom
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4-5 tbsp oil
  • chopped parsley

How to make Garlic mushroom in cheese sauce

  1. roast plain flour in a sauce pan on a low heat, till the raw aroma diminishes. add the milk till sauce like consistency...add the grated cheese mix till the cheese melts...add the nutmeg powder and salt to taste...cheese sauce in ready.
  2. separate the stem of mushrooms and finely chop it...use mushrooms as whole. no need to chop it...
  3. in another sauce pan add oil. let it get heated up...add the minced garlic roast for around 30 secs. add the chopped onion....cook till it turns translucent...
  4. add the chopped stems into the pan and cook for a minute add the mushrooms. again saute for a minute...add salt to taste and garlic powder, mix it well...
  5. add the cheese sauce as desired.... mix it well....garnish with chopped parsley scrumptious garlic mushroom in white sauce is ready to serve....

My Tip:

removal of the stems creates a space for the sauce to fill in. this make the mushrooms more flavorful... chopped stems of mushrooms increases the chunky flavor of the sauce...
