Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For cooking rice- Basmati rice 1/2 cups
  2. Boiling water 3 cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Vegetable oil 1 teaspoon
  5. For stir frying rice- Chopped green beans 1 cup
  6. Chopped garlic 2 tablespoon
  7. Vegetable oil 2 tablespoon
  8. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  9. Chopped coriander 1 tablespoon
  10. Crushed black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Lime juice 1 teaspoon
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cooking Rice- a) Boil washed rice in boiling water with salt and oil till al dente.
  2. Making burnt garlic green beans rice- a) Heat oil in a wok, add cumin and allow to splutter.
  3. Add garlic. Cook till golden brown colour. Remove some of brown garlic and reserve for garnish.
  4. Add in chopped green beans. Stir fry for 2 minutes on high flame. Add little salt.
  5. Mix in lime juice and black pepper.
  6. Add rice. Toss it well.
  7. Switch off flame. Add chopped coriander.
  8. Garnish with some brown garlic and serve hot.
