Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 bowls poha /beaten rice
  2. 2 bowls curd
  3. 1/2 bowl.roasted and coarsely grinded peanuts
  4. 1 teaspoon ginger chilli paste
  5. 1 teaspoon salt or per taste
  6. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  7. Juice of 1 lemon
  8. 1 teaspoon sugar
  9. 1 Teaspoon oil
  10. 1 sachet eno
  11. For tempering
  12. 1 table spoon oil
  13. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  14. 2to3 chopped dried red chillies
  15. 6 to 8 chopped curry leaves


  1. Mix curd and poha in a bowl keep it aside for 1 hour.
  2. After 1 hour mix all the ingredients in it except eno
  3. Boil water in cooker with net plate.
  4. Then mix eno in the mixture
  5. Blend to thick. paste with water
  6. Prepare pan with oil
  7. Pour the mixture in it and place it in the cooker
  8. Cover it with lid ..remove the whistle.cook it on high for 5 mins then slow the flame .it will take around 1 hour to cook on simmer ..after every 15 minutes check the water level of cooker ..if needed add 1/2 glass of water more in the cooker .check with the knife after 25 minutes if it comes out clean then dhokla is ready other wise keep it again till it done and keep checking with knife after every 15 mins ..
  9. when it becomes ready take it out from the cooker ..cover it with plate ..with the help of kitchen towel turn it then again flip it Heat oil crackle rail .then chilli and curry patta Pour it over dhokla ..
  10. Cut in to pieces abd serve it with your favorite chutney ..
