ABOUT COCONUT TARTLETS.... RECIPE

Made another variety of tart. After the first crunchy bite of the tart, it practically melts into the mouth. A perfect balance of sweetness . It looks so nice and brown . Everyone should definitely try it.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For outer crust
  2. Flour - 130 grams
  3. Egg - 1
  4. Milk - 1 tablespoon
  5. Butter- 70 grams
  6. Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
  7. Icing sugar - 25 grams
  8. Note - If the dough is too wet add more flour
  9. For the coconut filling
  10. Milk - 1/2 cup
  11. Butter - 30 grams
  12. Dessicated coconut- 80 grams
  13. Sugar - 50 grams
  14. Condensed milk - 5 tablespoon
  15. Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  16. Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Eggs - 2 nos
  18. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. To make filling
  2. Heat a pan and put milk, dessicated coconut, sugar and butter. Cook for a while.
  3. Add condensed milk, salt and vanilla essence to it Mix well and keep it aside to cool.
  4. Make outer crust
  5. Beat the butter thoroughly to make it fluffy . Add icing sugar to this and mix well to smooth.
  6. Add egg to this mixture.
  7. After beating this mixture nicely , add milk, vanilla essence.
  8. Finally add flour and make a soft dough .
  9. Warp this dough with clean film wrap and keep in the fridge for 25 minutes.
  10. Meanwhile, take 12 tart moulds and grease it with butter.
  11. After 25 mins, take the dough cut into 12 round pieces and put it into the moulds.
  12. Compress it nicely and give it the shape of the moulds.
  13. Take a fork and prick the tart nicely.
  14. Again put the tart in the fridge for another 25 mins.
  15. Now take cool coconut filling and add the eggs one by one . After the eggs , add baking powder and mix well.
  16. Take out the tarts and pour the filling into the tarts.
  17. Put these to bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree for the first 10 minutes. After this put down the temperature to 180 degree Celsius and bake these for another 20mins.
  18. Put them to cool down on a wire rack.
  19. Tarts are ready. These can be serve both hot and cold.
