Ingredients to make Gulabjamun

  • mawa 1/2 kg
  • maida 1-2 tablespoon
  • raisins little
  • ghee for frying
  • sugar syrup 2 cup sugar ,3 cup water
  • cardamom powder optional

How to make Gulabjamun

  1. Heat the mawa little and crumble it nicely.
  2. Add maida and crumble it nicely with hands.
  3. Prepare sugar syrup of 2:3 ,2 cups sugar 3cup cook for about 15-20 minutes till syrup gets thick.
  4. Now make equal size balls.first make it smooth with palm of your hands.fill raisins in between .make smooth round balls of equal sizes.
  5. Put them slowly in a kadai and fry it nicely till it is cooked properly.
  6. With a spoon turn it to the other side.
  7. See the change in colour.(in our home all eat little overfried gulab jamuns as they dont like kachha taste )so we fry little more.Prefer little less frying.
  8. Let it cool for 2 minutes.
