This eggless cake is full of fresh cherries .combination of cherry and cake makes it more delicious

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Cherry Topping-
  2. Unsalted butter 1/4 cup
  3. Light brown sugar 1/2 cup
  4. Fresh cherries pitted and halved 2 cups
  5. For cake-
  6. Maida 1 1/2 cups
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. Sugar 1 cup
  9. Baking powder 11/2 teaspoon
  10. Unsalted butter 1/2 cup
  11. Butter 1/3 cup
  12. Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  13. Lukewarm milk 1/2 cup


  1. Grease the sides of cake pan and place cake pan on the stove over low heat.
  2. Melt 4 tablespoon of butter in the cake pan and then add 1/2 cup brown sugar, stir until well combined.
  3. Spread over the bottom of the pan and remove from the heat.
  4. Place cherries, cut-side-down over mixture,
  5. Sieve together flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  6. In a large bowl mix together sugar and butter,beat it till light and fluffy.
  7. Mix curd and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essences in it,. Add luke warm milk and mix until well blended.
  8. Add flour mixture slowly and mix it.Transfer this batter to cake pan and even out the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 55 minutes for 180 degree centigrade or till toothpick come out clean.
  10. Before transfer it to serving plate let it cool.
