Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole chicken legs - 4
  2. Hung curd - 3 tbsp
  3. Coriander & Mint paste - 3 to 4 tbsp
  4. Green chili paste - 1 tbsp
  5. Ginger-Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  6. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  7. Roasted gram flour - 1 tbsp
  8. Salt - as per taste
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  11. Amchur powder - 2 tsp
  12. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  13. Oil/butter - for basting
  14. Edible green color (optional, for a more striking green color) - I did not use it

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except oil/butter and chicken in a big bowl to make a thick marinade.
  2. Wash and clean the chicken legs thoroughly and make deep slits on them.
  3. Rub the legs with good amount of marinade all over and refrigerate covered with a cling wrap for 3 to 4 hours.
  4. When ready to cook them, heat a grill pan and brush with few drops of oil.
  5. Grill the chicken on low-medium flame, flipping and basting with butter at regular intervals. Kababs should be fully cooked in about 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Serve them hot with some onions and lemon wedges.
