Chicken Tangri Kebab

Ingredients to make Chicken Tangri Kebab

  • chicken Drumsticks 2
  • curd 2 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • green chilly 3 finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • Mustard Oil few tbsp for smearing the chicken
  • onion and lemon wedges for garnish

How to make Chicken Tangri Kebab

  1. Take the washed chicken drumsticks and pat dry with kitchen towel.
  2. Make 2-3 slashes on it with a knife.
  3. Take all the ingredients in a bowl/plate except oil and mix nicely.
  4. Add the drumsticks to it and coat the drumsticks nicely with the masalas. Let it marinate for sometime. I kept for 30 mins. The longer marination the better.
  5. Take the marinated drumsticks, smear some mustard oil over it.
  6. Microwave for 20 mins in combination mode (microwave+Grill). Turn them over midway every 5 mins and Rub oil in between the cooking.
  7. Remove from microwave. Turn on the gas flame, take the drumsticks and throw in the direct flame on all sides for a mins or two to give a smoky flavour.
  8. Squeeze some lemon juice just before serving.
  9. Serve with onion and lemon wedges. I served with Sirke Wale Pyaaz and lemon.

My Tip:

You can give smoky flavor through Dhungar method. Take the charcoal and burn in the gas stove. Take the cooked chicken in a pan. Then put charcoal in the pan, add few drops of oil, cover the pan for 2-3 mins. Done.
