Cheese cofta in spinach gravy

Ingredients to make Cheese cofta in spinach gravy

  • spinach 2 bunch
  • green chillies 3 to 4
  • ginger 2 inch
  • gram flour 1 spoon
  • Pure ghee 2 tabelspoon
  • coriander seeds 1 Teaspoon
  • Degi mirch powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt 1 spoon
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
  • cottage cheese 200 gram
  • cornflour 1 spoon
  • salt 1/4 tespoon
  • oil for frying

How to make Cheese cofta in spinach gravy

  1. Clean and wash spinach in water to remove any soil or impurities.
  2. To blanch the spinach, boil it with ginger and green chillies in 1 cup water for 2 whistle.
  3. Drain it using a strainer but don't throw the spinach water and keep the water aside and wait until it gets cold.
  4. Drain excess water and transfer blanched spinach to medium size jar of mixer grinder and grind untill smooth puree if required add few spoon kept water .
  5. While grinding also mix gram flour in some water and make a thin paste of it and add into the puree.
  6. Heat a nonstick pan or wok over medium flam and add spinach puree and kept water, salt and other spices in it and saute till it changes colour and become thick.
  7. Heat 2 tabelspoon of pure ghee and add coriander seeds ,asafoetida, degi mirch and pour it on cooked spinach gravy.
  8. For cheese coftas mix cottage cheese and cornflour and make small small balls of it and fry it in a pan until it becomes golden brown, and serve it with spinach gravy.

My Tip:

U can use garlic and onion in ur spinach gravy.
