ABOUT Sabuj Chicken RECIPE

This recipe is a blend of spinach and pomegranate juice infused with kasori methi to give the chicken gravy a creamy smooth texture.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Spinach 1 bunch blanch and puree
  2. Boneless chicken 250 grams
  3. Onion 1/2 cup chopped
  4. Garlic 1 tablespoons
  5. Tomato 1/2 cup puree
  6. Kashori methi 1 tablespoon
  7. Corn flour 1 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder 2 teaspoons
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Curd 1 tablespoon
  11. Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Cardamom 2 numbers
  13. Clove 2 numbers
  14. Butter 1 tablespoon
  15. Olive oil 3 tablespoons for frying
  16. Cream 1/2 cup
  17. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  18. Pomegranate juice 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Blanch the spinach and make puree.
  2. Marinate the chicken with corn flour salt curd turmeric powder garlic paste, keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a Kadai with oil then fry the chicken for 3 minutes.
  4. Do not fry the chicken for long 0r else it shall become hard .
  5. Take another pan heat butter , add cardamom and cloves then add onion, fry little then add tomato puree cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Then add sugar, cumin powder, mix the fried chicken .
  7. Add salt to taste , cover it .
  8. After 2 minutes pour pomegranate juice and spinach puree cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Then pour the cream and kashori methi mix properly.
  10. Serve hot with rice or paratha.
